How you can choose your domain name?

You have two options when you choose your domain name. You can choose a brand name or you can choose a domain name that contains your main keyword. First, you should start searching for a domain name that contains your main keyword, but if you did not find any domain that contains your main keyword then your second choose is to choose a new brand name.

You can also add some modifiers, prefix or postfix keywords to your main keywords if your main keyword is not available.

Examples for that:-

1. MyWeddingFavors.com
2. TheGolfCollection.com
3. FatLossCenter.com
4. ForexWorld.com

Also you can choose short keywords that refer to your main keywords.

Examples for that:-

1. IMNewsWatch.com “Internet Marketing News Watch”
2. FXTrading.com “Forex Trading”

If you did not found any domain name that is available for you include domain names with modifiers, prefix and postfix then you should go for the brand name.

Here are some examples for the brand names:-

1. NBC.com “News website”
2. Sparkpeople.com “weight loss site”

There are many free online tools that can help you to generate domain names using specific keywords. You just enter your main keyword and select one category and the site will add some prefix and postfix according to the category that you have chosen.

What you should avoid in your domain name?

You have to avoid two main things when you choose your domain name. First, do not choose domain name with hyphen “-“because Google do not like domain names with “-“. Second, you should always choose domain name with “.com” extension because most people write the domain names with “.com” as default and this will makes you miss a huge amount of traffic.

How to generate massive instant traffic to your website?
“The hidden secret of the expired domains”

You should know that Google rank website according to many characteristics including the domain name age, back-links, PR, and site size. This is mean if you choose to build your website in brand new domain Google will give you zero in the previous four characteristics.

What if you can have 10 years old domain website with thousands back-links and high page rank?
If you did that you will rank instantly for any keyword you want and you will get instant traffic.

Where I can get domain name with the previous characteristics?
The answer is “The expired domain”. Simply, there are many people build websites and forget to renew their domain names or they just do not need it anymore. Most of these sites have a high page rank, many back-links and for sure it is old domain names. You will simply resume the work of someone that work for years. If you get new website then you will work at least six months until Google starts to rank your website, but if you build your website in expired domain names you will rank instantly.

You can get your expired domain name from http://auctions.godaddy.com. Godaddy offers wide selection of expired domain names and you can bid for it. Usually the auction for the expired domain takes about two weeks and the higher bidder won the domain name.

You should go to Goddady auctions then you should search for your main keyword then sort the result by traffic, and you should analysis each domain to know the domain name age, page rank and age. The only problem that this process will consume huge amount of time until you find one good domain name and you may lose the auction and not win it.

So where I can get domain name with it is data analysis instantly?
You can save hundreds of hours of searching with “Register Compass”. Simply register compass is a website that contains huge list of expired domain from various sources and not godaddy only with all the data you need to know about the expired domain.

1. You can search with any keywords.
2. You can search for sites with specific page rank.
3. You can search for sites that are listed in dmoz or yahoo direcotires.
4. You can search for sites with specific number of back-links in Google, Yahoo and Altavista.

Now, we are going to work in very important stage which is “How to generate a list of main keywords to target your niche?” These keywords will be your main website categories. This chapter will not be so long, but it is one of the most important chapters in this course.

How to choose your main keywords?

First, you must know that Google which is our main target looking for the theme of the website. This is very important note that you should consider.
Let’s take an example:-

Main site keyword “Wedding Rings” -> First Category “Unique Wedding Rings” -> Sub Category “Cheap Unique Wedding Rings” -> Sub Category “Cheap Unique Wedding Rings Under $100 -> product “14K gold Womens Wedding Ring with 0.40carat Diamonds”.

I am not suggesting that you make these much sub-categories but I am just clearing the idea for you. When Google will spider the pages will see reasonable throw of the theme.
Now let’s see a bad example:-

Main site keyword “Wedding” -> First Category “Cheap Unique Wedding Rings” -> product “14K gold Womens Wedding Ring with 0.40carat Diamonds”.

What do you think? Which one is better?

Second, you must know that Google loves niche sites. You will rank faster and better when you focus your site in one niche.

Third, you must target two or three main keywords only and not more than that.

How to find your main keywords?

Now let’s see how you can find and choose your main site keywords which are your site categories. You must choose the highest volume keywords that buyer may target and be reasonable to be a category.
I will make this statement clears now with the following example:-

Wedding rings, engagement rings, wedding rings information, buy engagement ring, engagement rings guide,semi mount engagement rings.

Wedding rings and engagement rings “Yes”. (High volume, can be a category and buyers looking for it).

wedding rings information, engagement rings guide  ”No”. (High volume, can be a category but  buyers are not looking for it).

buy engagement rings,semi mount engagement rings “No”. (Low volume, can not be a category and buyers looking for it).

Now, you have chosen two categories but you also want to rank for buy engagement rings and semi mount engagement rings. What you should do is to get back-links to your main categories with these anchor text and you will rank for it with the main categories. We will explain this later in the back-links chapter.

If you want to get a list of all the keywords that are related to your main niche and can be a category. I truly recommended “Google Adwords Keyword Tool” that I described in the previous post.

In the next picture you will see how I will choose my main keywords if I am going to build a wedding rings store.

“The red mark means I will choose it as main category, the yellow mark means I will rank for this keyword by getting back-links to my main categories with different anchor text, and the green mark means I will not target it because only information users seeking it and not target buyers or I do not have any product can fit this category even if I tried.”

First, you should know that there are top profitable niches in the Internet world and you can choose one of them to target it, but this is not right you should choose a niche that you are like or it is one of your hobbies to provide something unique about it.

Here is a list of some of the most profitable niches in the affiliate marketing world:-

1. Adult.
2. Porn.
3. Forex.
4. Affiliate marketing.
5. Software.
6. Gambling.
7. Credit cards.
8. Real estate.
9. Weight Loss.
10. Digital TV.

As you can see these niches are very hard in competition and also contains some unethical niches. You cannot compete for these niches except if you have large capital of money and excellent SEO knowledge. For that I recommended for you to think in another direction. You must think about what you are really good at?

How to choose your niche and how to make good brainstorming?

1. Get a paper and a pencil.
2. Write a list of your hobbies.
3. Write a list of your interesting fields.
4. Write a list of something you are good at “Maybe your college specialist”.
5. Now, look at every niche you wrote and make a circle on the niches that you think you can talk about it with a professional user on it for at least one hour.
6. Copy these niches in new paper.
7. Look again at these niches and make a circle in the niches that you can write at least 5 articles about it.
8. Copy these niches in new paper again.
9. That is it you have now the most profitable niches for you.

You should now choose one of these niches to start your business with. If you cannot choose one of them then choose the niche that you like the most, and if you have finished and there are no niches in the last paper then you should choose the most niche that you are good at or at least like it in the previous paper.

You must know that if you work on a field that you like or it is one of your hobbies you will be able to provide something unique about it to your customers and that will makes your site unique which will makes your customers come back again to your site and this will maximizes your profits. Remember that Google is the best search engine because it provides “powerful in simplicity”. You should provide something unique and intelligent in your online business to win your competitors and one of the most critical factors is that you really love your online business field.

Just write your main niche and Google will generate a list of phrases that related to your niche as well as related niches to your niche. This should help you in clearing everything to you.
